The issue is when driving when it hits 3000 RPM its like it hit a REV limiter. when in park again like it hit a REV limiter.

When putting it into drive, it reduces to 1500 but acts as though I’m pressing the throttle and takes some extra force on the brake to slow/stop. If I do not shift it into gear after start and leave it in park, the RPM will go up gradually and crash to 0 after reaching about 2300.

So I was driving home and my truck started slowing down and wouldnt rev over 2000 rpm and won't up shift. Temp is fine and so is everything else. What is wrong with my truck? I have a PPE tune level 2.

One of my engines will not rev over 3500 rpm. It starts fine and will rev to 3500 and then cut out as if the ignition has been cut. Also the screws were not put back in the throttle lever cover plate. The engine does run fine up till 3000 rpm and then its as if something is not letting it rev higher.

Some of the things that people have suggested checking are fuel filter, timing belt, rev limiter ( by the way where is the rev limiter), and fuel injectors. The car does drive but it doesn't rev pass 2000 rpm at that point it starts to choke and jerk like it is going to shut off but doesn't. If you guys have any suggestions it would be appreciated.
With those dyno numbers, I see no reason to change out my truck. Personally, I don't rev my truck past 4500 RPM and don't haul that heavy of a load where it would ever see that RPM. With that said, the Tundra is neck and neck with the Titan up to that RPM level. Notice the braking performance of 131 ft comparted to 127 ft of the Titan.
Aug 20, 2013 · I put the pedal to the floor, and the rpms rev up to 4000, drop suddenly to about 3800 and then go back up to 4000 and do this over and over again. This is not a governer on my rpms. Before I had the fuel problem, it revved up to the max. I haven't tried to take it past 6000 obviously. When I am in drive, however, the rpms go past 4000.
