The virtualization solution Proxmox VE (Proxmox Virtual Environment; shortened PVE) allows the passthrough of PCIe devices to individual virtual machines (PCIe passthrough). A virtual machine can thus exclusively control a corresponding PCIe device, e.g. a network card. This has many advantages over virtualized hardware, such as reduced latency.
In “Hard Disk”, “CPU” and “Memory” tabs, choose your HDD, CPU and RAM configuration; In “Network” tab, choose “Bridge mode” and select “vmbr2” in the Bridge field. Done, confirm and create VMs; You will need to access to the Console to install the OS. Click on the newly created VM in Proxmox and Click on “Console” menu.

Jan 20, 2016 · Installation problem with ZFS root on SD card with var mounted from another ZFS pool I am currently testing the installation on a DELL t-630 server. PVE is installed with root-ZFS on SD card modules (16gb size, dual-cards, hardware mirrored).
Is it a good idea to install Proxmox VE 5 on an SD card? Proxmox is based on Debian. So it is a normal Linuxdistribution with all these features, logs and and and. So the card will not hold on a long time, maybe a half a year.
