  • LQ9's are going to be a bit more expensive, because now people know that they have something better than 'just a truck motor'. Haha.LQ4's are still DIRT cheap around here. And with a piston change, you'd have an LQ9.and you can get LQ9 rotating assemblies easily.LS1's are still bringing a pretty penny IMO.

  • The LQ9 is a GEN III based engine, easily interchangable with LS1 cars and still interchangeable with LS2's with a few tweeks. LS2's have a different reluctor, and the cam sensor is on the timing cover. To retrofit an LQ9 into an LS2 car you'll need to swap over your valley cover, timing cover, cam gear, and reluctor wheel.
